10 February 10 - 14:14No it didn t hurt

"Between your *eyes*? Wouldn't that *hurt*?"

And thus, fueled by other people's doubts and the fact that this would really piss my parents off, I had come to the decision that my next piercing should definitely be the nose bridge.

After tossing and turning it over in my mind for a couple of weeks, I finally decided on a date and a nearby place (Tribal Ways on Mass Ave). I gave them a call and set up an appointment.

I, of course, did my research. The stories on BME were mostly comforting, up until the morning I was going to get pierced, when I managed to find all sorts of scary information. I began to worry about things such as bad placement, migration, rejection, bad scarring... things that didn't even cross my mind before because I was so excited.

But, I decided to go through with it anyway. Ya only live once.

Went with an entire group of friends (I think there were six of us), and the Tribal Ways people were ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:14My first piercing with a needle

I started piercing two months after I completed my secondary school education, when I was 17.(which was like 5 months ago, secondary school education here runs in Jan-May, July-Nov semesters) I wanted to do it earlier, but there were rules against boys having piercings in school, so to avoid all the hassle I decided to wait. After my finals, I got a friend to follow me to get my first piercing, in my left earlobe. This was done with a gun, apparently its not very safe, but at the time I had not known about this, and it was the norm in Singapore that ear piercings are done with a gun, so I went with it. I have 2 lobe piercings and a cartilage piercing in my left ear, and a lobe in my right ear, all done with a gun, and I have had no complications with them, other than the fact that the cartilage took quite a long time to heal.

Well, I figured I was done with my piercings after I got my right ear pierced, but I noticed that many people on the street had cartilage piercings too. ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:13Anti Brow Shmanti Brow

I have wanted an anti-brow for along time, but besides that, me and my
girlfriend stopped by the piercing studio to pick up some plugs for her. So I
bought her some plugs, and she suggested to me "get something pierced!" so I
said, "well...its funny you should mention that! I was thinking the same thing
myself!" So we talked about it, you know, what should I get? My girlfriend
mentioned, how she really wanted anti-brows. So I mentioned to her, well
darlin' so do I! In fact, I have for a while now. There was a number of things
on my list of piercings that I want, and it can be so hard at times to decide
on what I want at the time. I mean, my list goes on and on, I doubt I will
ever be done with body modification. So I really had to think about this one.
Especially since I am not a rich person and body mods are not the cheapest
thing around town...unless they are self inflicted, which still cost money
anyway.
I was not nervous about ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:13Young but still got it done

Well, first off I'm 13 and I know that's young compared to all the other people that write their experiences, but I have been fascinated with eyebrow piercing for the longest time now.

It started I think when I first saw an eyebrow piercing on a girl, I thought it looked so cute and cool. I told my mom about it, but she disagreed. My mom has 3 piercing other than her ears. She has her nose, tongue, and belly button. She would've let me get any of those, but I wanted the eyebrow piercing, but she didn't like it. She always told me that it made your eye droop. My older brother has it too, and I loved it on him.

I kept bugging my mom about it, but every time she said no. She said I had to wait until I was at least 16 to get it done, but that's a long time away. I'm very impatient and usually when I want things now, then I want them Now...sounds kind of bratty but I'm like that. ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:13I finally manipulated my mom to let me get it done

Oh my god, first of all I just turned 16 about three weeks ago. I had been
telling my mom since i was 12 that i wanted to get my eyebrow pierced, so she
told me when your 14, i promise ok? so I reluctanly agreed to wait Two whole
years (thats forever to a twelve year old.) but the day finally came that i
turned 14. so I remind my mother that she'd promised to take me to have my
eyebrow done when I turned 14. she said no. and i had a complete fit!
you know how that feels to be looking forward to something that long then suddenly
get screwd out of it? anyways she said for your 15th birthday ill take you to
get it done. my 15th birthday rolled around and i said, "mom ive been begging
everyday since i was 12" and she said "you know, i dont want you to have that
done thats really gross, maybe when your 16. i just turned 16 and i told her ,
ive been waiting for four years to have this done. and she said ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:11My girl loves my new eyebrow piercing

After months of my girlfriend mentioning that I would look good with my eyebrow pierced, I decided to go get it done to surprise her. I know she would have wanted to go with me to watch me get it, but I figured the only way I would feel comfortable is if I did it by myself that way there was no pressure or anything. The day I went to do it I was getting pretty excited to get it actually. I went to Tommy T's Body Piercing in Huntington Beach 'cause a bunch of my buddies had their ears pierced and stretched there and they told me if I ever gave in to my girl wanting me to get my eyebrow done I should go there. They said to go in and ask for Tommy and he would go over the best type of jewelry to put in it. I trust my friends' judgment, so I took their advice and drove to Huntington Beach. It took me about 30 minutes to get there I was getting more excited by the minute. I had never had any piercings done, but I figured why not you only live once and if it's not me then I can always take it out. ... (more)

10 February 10 - 14:10

I'd been toying with the idea getting my horizontal anti-eyebrow done for about a year and half, before I finally summoned up the courage and went last friday. I just finished healing my tongue, so I was itching for another piercing- I'm sure many of you know the feeling. Sara had done my last three (tongue and both nipples) of six (labret, nose, belly-button) piercings, and I'd be hard pressed to go to another piercer ever again. Every time I've gone in now she's been so friendly and informative. Good prices too ;) hehe.
 Ear piercing
Facial piericng
I was really nervous because I'd seen some gory pictures of this particular piercing being done. Read about black eyes, rejection, etc. Still, I was determined to finally go through with it- I've always thought it inherently complimented people's features quite well, kind of like a labret. ... 10 February 10 - 14:08Stab me dammit

OK. I had decided that for my 18th birthday I wanted something that would
encapsulate my personal feelings and interests, and decided on an eyebrow
piercing. My birthday is December 22nd, a hell of a time to be in the centre
of town with two friends agonizing over whether to have it done or not! After
about half an hour of scrutinising the piercing place I decided it would be
wisest to wait, in order to be sure it wasn't just a spur of the moment thing,
even though I had been contemplating it for 2 years...And to be honest I
absolutely HATE pain, and was feeling a little too tender due to post-birthday
pre-Christmas celebrations...
So, after a over a month of mulling over the
eventual realities of migration, the possibilities of infection etc., I
thought "Bugger it!" and set off once again to the intruiging setting of the
Leeds Piercing Studio, on this day January 20th, with my brother and best
friend Gabrielle in tow. ... (more)
